DESCRIPTION:(Please make note of our new address: 6141 Paluxy Dr., Ste. 132, Tyler, 75703)\nChampions for Children offers the 8 hour Pre-Service training required by Child Care Licensing for new employees.  Remind employees to be on time at 9 am.\n\n\n\nPlease choose only one ticket type.\nPre-Service Training is $15.00 per person for new employees only  (within 90 days of their hire date).  If a hire date is not furnished, our records will show their hire date to be the Monday following the Pre-Service One class.\nMinimum Standards Refresher, $50 is for employees seeking annual training hours. Anyone with a hire date more than 90 days past needs to purchase tickets for Minimum Standards Refresher.\nThe topics covered are: Minimum Standards, Developmental stages of children, Age-appropriate activities for children, Positive Guidance and Discipline of Children, Fostering Children’s positive self-esteem, Supervision and Safety practices in the care of children, Positive Interaction with children, Preventing and controlling the spread of communicable diseases, including Immunizations.\n Includes one hour of: Early Childhood Brain Development, Recognizing and preventing Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma, Understanding and using safe sleep practices and preventing Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).\n Includes one hour of: Recognizing and Detecting Child Abuse/Neglect.\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n
