3 SESSIONS (Six training hours)
Session 1:
Presenter: Heather Wilson, Behavioral Strategist
Title: Looking Beyond the Behavior: “Recognizing the Signs, Understanding the Why, and Responding with Confidence
Description:
Challenging behaviors are often a form of communication. In this session, educators will explore the root causes behind behaviors, identify early warning signs that a child may be struggling, and learn quick, practical strategies to respond effectively in the moment. Participants will leave with simple, easy-to-implement tools to support positive behavior and create a more responsive classroom environment.
Session 2:
Presenter: Brandee Overshown, Early Learning Specialist
Title: Nurturing the Whole Child: “Building Identity, Confidence, and Belonging in Young Learners”
Description:
Young children thrive when they feel seen, heard, and valued. This training focuses on empowering young learners through intentional practices that support autonomy, identity development, and emotional competence. Educators will learn how to foster an inclusive learning environment that honors diversity and encourages every child to develop a strong sense of self.
Session 3:
Presenter: Casey Muze, “The Author of Rhythm and Restoration”
Title: Feel the Beat: “Using Rhythm to Build Focus, Connection, and Calm in Young Learners”
Description:
This experience invites educators into the power of rhythm as a tool for regulation, connection, and early cognitive development. Through interactive, hands-on engagement, participants will explore how simple rhythmic practices can support focus, behavior, and social-emotional growth in young children. Attendees will leave with practical strategies they can immediately implement in their classrooms.
