Tune-Up for Terrific Teachers/Directors!
Terrific Teachers and Directors – It’s time to Tune-Up for the new school year!
“We are Better Together – Building Bridges from School to Home”
This year we will explore ways to develop better relationships with parents in order to bridge the gap from school to home. Many parents are not familiar with early childhood milestones, so educating parents is an important part of the success of the child. Teaching parents strategies for combating challenging behaviors at home will help with those behaviors in the childcare setting as well. We will discuss family engagement ideas at your center too.
Also in this training are the six additional topics that are required each year: Emergency preparedness, Preventing and controlling the spread of communicable diseases, Administering medication, Preventing and responding to emergencies due to food or allergic reactions, Understanding building and physical premises safety, and Handling, storing and disposing of hazardous materials.
This year we will have THREE Tracks:
- Infant/Toddler track (birth to 36 months) Kristin Omo, B.S., EIS-FQ
- Pre-K/School Age track (three years and above) – Becky Swindall, M.S., CDA-PDS, CHES
- Director track – Brandee Overshown, CDA
You can only pick one track. Doors open at 8:30am and training begins at 9 am. Six hour certificate and lunch is included in the fee.
Come join us for a fun day!
